This year, the “Čarolija” festival is turning 18! Join us at Sava Center on December 22nd, at 5 PM, and celebrate the unforgettable coming-of-age of the largest children’s music festival in Serbia!
The “Čarolija” project is a children’s music festival founded in 2006 by Leontina Vukomanović, the artistic director of the festival, and producer Saša Mirković. The festival’s aim is to preserve and revive the rich tradition of Serbian creators for children, through the verses of greats such as Ljubivoje Ršumović, Branko Ćopić, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, Raša Popov, and many others.
Through careful selection of songs and compositions, “Čarolija” encourages children to embrace friendship, social responsibility, care for others, environmental awareness, and to develop a healthy competitive spirit. At the festival, original compositions by Serbia’s most renowned pop and rock music authors are performed under the artistic guidance of composer and lyricist Leontina Vukomanović.
The “Čarolija” choir is the first choice for parents who want their children to learn about nurturing culture and tradition, proper behavior, mutual respect, and acceptance of differences. The choir has become well-known for its performances at major children’s competitions, events, and numerous television shows. Through the values it promotes, this choir offers children the opportunity to express themselves through music, form lifelong friendships, and build confidence that will stay with them as they grow.
To mark each of the 18 years that the “Čarolija” Children’s Festival and choir have existed, a grand coming-of-age celebration will be held at Sava Center on December 22nd, starting at 5 PM. As “Čarolija” is a temple of children’s culture, all “Čarolijans” are invited to come and celebrate this great milestone with us!
