The breathtaking adaptation of the classic French novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) will be presented at the Belgrade Sava Center from February 20th to 22nd, 2025, in its exclusive premiere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the book.
The Little Prince is an innovative theatrical spectacle performed live on stage, coming to the Blue Hall of the Sava Center after sold-out seasons in Paris, Dubai, Sydney, Budapest, Prague, and its most recent successful run on Broadway in New York.
This incredibly impressive and magnificent performance, based on the beloved children’s book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (Gallimard edition, 1945), brings to life the cosmic world of a pilot lost in the desert, who meets the Little Prince, traveling from one planet to another in search of a sheep. The omnipresent narrator follows the Little Prince on his journey, where he encounters many wonderful characters that harmoniously interact through dance, gestures, and movement.
Eighty years after its publication, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry remains one of the best-selling and most translated books of all time. It has been translated into over 593 languages and dialects and sold around 200 million copies worldwide.
The award-winning creative team behind The Little Prince is led by director and choreographer Anne Tournié, with adaptation and co-direction by Chris Mouron, original music by Terry Truck, assistant choreography by Noellie Bordelet, video design by Marie Jumelin, costume design by Peggy Housset, lighting design by Stéphane Fritsch, sound design by Tristan Viscogliosi, video projections by Etienne Bouscharta, hair and makeup by Carmen Arbues Miro, and props by Aurelio Gendilhon.
