Andrew Lloyd Webber's most famous global musical, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will be premiered for the domestic audience in the Sava Center, as part of an international tour, with nine performances, from April 22 to 29, 2025. Enthralling audiences around the world for decades, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has become one of the most successful works in the history of the entertainment industry, winning more than 70 prestigious awards, including seven Tony Awards, four Olivier Awards and one for Best Musical. The original production premiered in London's West End in 1987 and ran non-stop for an incredible 38 years.
Based on the classic novel "Le Fantôme de L'Opéra" by Gaston Leroux, and set in the magnificent Paris of the 1930s, the story follows a musical genius known only as "The Phantom", who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera. Charmed by the talent and beauty of the young soprano, Christina, the Phantom draws her into his world as his student and falls deeply in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, the Phantom's obsession sets the stage for a dramatic collision of jealousy, madness and passion.
With a cast and crew of more than 100 members, spectacular sets, impressive special effects and more than 230 costumes, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA features some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most famous musical works, including "Phantom of the Opera," "All I Ask of You," and "The Music of the Night." The original performance recording of the show, with more than 40 million copies sold worldwide, remains the best-selling line-up album of all time!
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA comes to Belgrade with the production of Broadway Entertainment Group, and is presented to the audience by Ticket Vision and Locals Experience, in cooperation with The Really Useful Group.
