May 5th at Sava Centerand in the organization Belgrade Festival Center ballet lovers can expect an unusual combination of dance and music.
The world-renowned prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, Svetlana Zaharava i world-renowned violinist Vadim Rjepin, a couple in life and on stage, will present their now celebrated program "Pas de deux - Dance for two on tiptoes".
This unique concept is an intimate dialogue between the arts, where the incomparable grace and technical perfection of Zakharova meets the deep expressiveness and impeccable musicianship of Vadim Rjepin.
Accompanied by outstanding players Bolshoi Theater: Artemija Belyakova, Mikhail Lobukhin i Igor Cricket, in front of the audience, an evening will take place that blurs the lines between a concert and a classical ballet gala performance. Svetlana will perform both as a soloist and in duets with masterful colleagues.
Each pas de deux, each solo, becomes an intimate conversation in which the ballerina's toes and the violinist's fingers come together in perfect harmony, promising the audience an unforgettable emotional experience.
At least to our audience, Zakharova does not need to be introduced. As a prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Opera and a star of Milan's La Scala, she increasingly sought to expand her horizons with more modern works.
Her husband Rjepin is equally famous. After making his recital debut in Moscow and St. Petersburg at the age of 11, he now performs with all the world's greatest orchestras and conductors. Yehudi Menuhin called him, no less, "the best and most perfect violinist".
On the program are choreographies by: Marius Petipa, Mauro Bigonzetti, Motoko Hirayama, Artemi Belyakov, Mikhail Fokin and Johan Koborg, to music by: Monti, Glazunov, Saint-Saëns, Moretti, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla, Ravello, Williams, Massenet and Bacsini.
