The 23nd International Film Festival (FEST) was held from February 3 to March 2024, 1 in Belgrade. Hall XNUMX of the Sava Center was one of the screening locations. In it, viewers could watch, among other films, the new one by director Roman Polanski, called "Hotel Palace".
Once upon a time there was, and still is today, Hotel Palas. An extraordinary castle designed by a mystical architect at the beginning of the 20th century, located in the Swiss Alps, in the middle of a snowy valley. The hotel has a gothic, fairytale atmosphere where spoiled and rich guests from all over the world meet. They are brought together by a unique event: the celebration of the New Year 2000. At the service of their extravagant needs is a horde of waiters, cooks and receptionists.

ROMAN POLANSKY
Roman Polanski (Paris, 1933) is a French-Polish film director, producer, screenwriter and actor. He attended the National Film Academy in Lodz, Poland. The first feature film Knife in the water (1962) was shot in Poland and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. After that, Polanski received five more Oscar nominations, two BAFTA awards, four Césars, a Golden Globe Award and a Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1968, he cemented his status by directing a horror film Rosemary's baby (1968). Movie Chinatown (1974) was nominated for 11 Academy Awards. In 2002, he directed the film Pianist which first won the "Golden Palm" in Cannes, and then three Oscars, among them for best director, as well as numerous international awards. For the movie A writer from the shadows (2010) won Best Director at the 23rd European Film Awards.
