Lovers of classical music in Belgrade will have the opportunity to enjoy the top concert of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from London, which will be held on October 12 in the Sava Center as part of the Classico festival, organized by Skymusic.
This prestigious orchestra, which has almost 70 members, will perform a carefully selected program under the baton of the famous Vasily Petrenko: the repertoire will include works by Dvořák ("Carnival Overture"), Chopin ("Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2") and Bartók ("Concerto for Orchestra").
The performance of the young, outstanding South Korean pianist Yunchan Lim, who at only 18 years old became the youngest winner of the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022, draws special attention from the audience. Already then, critics described him as an artist with "magical ability and natural instinct", and his performance of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto no. 3 won the admiration of audiences around the world, while the video of that performance became the most viewed version of the piece on YouTube, with more than 10 million views. At just 19 years old, Yunchan has performed with the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
