Serbian Suite - Musical and stage spectacle of the Ensemble "Kolo"
The ensemble of folk dances and songs of Serbia "Kolo" presents the musical and stage spectacle "Serbian suite", which will premiere on November 26, 2025 in the Sava Center. With this event, Ensemble "Kolo" is returning to the big stage of the Sava Center after eight years.
"Serbian Suite" combines melodies composed in the spirit of Serbian folk dances and choreographic patterns based on traditional forms in an innovative way. This new creation in the field of folk dance celebrates the richness of our heritage, but at the same time presents it through contemporary artistic expression, showing that Serbian tradition lives on and inspires authors in the 21st century.
For the purposes of this project, a unique musical group of over 80 top musicians, instrumentalists and choir members was formed, who will perform the original music of prominent artist and folk music composer Slavko Mitrović Calet. The artistic ensemble is rounded off by the author's vision of renowned folk dance choreographer Milorad Lonić, which conveys strong stage energy and leads the audience through an exciting journey through the landscapes of tradition.
The audience will have the opportunity to experience a combination of music and dance in a program that connects tradition and modernity in one evening.
