The fourteenth consecutive European Conference on Nutrition was held from November 14 to 17, 2023, organized by the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) and hosted by the Serbian Nutrition Society and Professor Dr. Slađana Šobajić. Our destination, Belgrade, was chosen at the FENS General Assembly during the 13th European Nutrition Conference held in Dublin, Republic of Ireland in 2019.
Nutrition is always an intriguing and powerful topic, important to the daily life, health and well-being of the entire global population. It is also the center of scientific research and the professional mission of thousands of researchers dedicated to unraveling the complex mysteries of balanced, sustainable and sufficient nutrition for all. The scientific committee prepared an innovative, inspiring and intriguing program which, under the overarching slogan of the Conference, managed to "bring science and practice closer". Scientific research on nutrition and the use of its results in practice can make a significant contribution to the goals of sustainable development and to solving important health challenges related to nutrition.
The meeting featured keynote lectures, symposia, educational workshops, interactive sessions, poster presentations and sessions of industry interest for both students and young nutrition professionals. The focus was on networking sessions for early career researchers. There was also an exhibition for interested parties from the food industry.
This event opened the door to the greatest experts from all over the world. The combination of nutrition, science, research, experience, youth, enthusiasm, the Sava Center in its new glory, Belgrade on the banks of two rivers and delicious Serbian cuisine made the 14th European Nutrition Conference unique and unforgettable!
