The musical spectacle Rock Opera is an impressive symphonic rock concert - a combination of rock and classical music, and with the interpretation of the Novi Sad Big Band, mixed choir and orchestra of the SNP Opera, powerful scenography, lighting and sound, it brings an exclusive musical event.
After sold-out concerts in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Belgrade audience is given a unique opportunity to enjoy and sing the greatest rock hits of their favorite, legendary rock bands in new symphonic arrangements. The concert program features 23 musical hits by rock groups whose names are included in encyclopedias of the world and domestic music scene of the 20th century. The concert reflects the spirit of the author and a famous era of rock music, in which famous names entered the rock and roll hall of fame, as well as the times when unsurpassed hits and anthemic choruses were created that have been transmitted from the 70s to here. The very thought of 50 performers performing the music of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Robbie Williams, Queen, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Dors, Europe, Tina Turner and other world groups leaves the impression that this is an unprecedented musical spectacle in our area.
With our performers, whether in the audience are older generations who still appreciate their vinyl records or younger generations who learn about rock music on the Internet, you will feel the unsurpassed energy of symphonic rock! The unusual combination of classical and rock music has led to the fact that the musical spectacle "ROCK OPERA" has been bringing together not only musical genres but also different audiences for several years.
The Rock Opera concept is equally accessible for all generations, especially for those who want to break away from imposed standards. In the combination of musical genres of rock, classical, jazz and opera, and in the interpretation of the Novi Sad Big Band and the Choir and Orchestra of the Opera, another exclusive concert program is presented to the wider audience. The conductor and author of the musical arrangements is Fedor Vrtačnik, and the program features vocal soloists Jana Šušteršič, Bojana Stamenov, Zoran Šandorov, Mattia Zanatta, Nikola Mijić, as well as members of the Opera Choir and Orchestra of the Serbian National Theater from Novi Sad and the Novi Sad Big Band.
