SYNOPSIS
Director and screenwriter Joachim Trier presents us his new film, a family drama about two sisters bound by an unbreakable closeness and their father who suddenly becomes a part of their lives again, which opens up space for forgiveness and reconciliation.
Agnes and Nora establish a relationship with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustavo, who was once a famous director. Gustav offers Nora, a stage actress, a role in his new film, which he hopes will bring him a big return to the stage. Nora turns down the role and soon learns that her character has been entrusted to a young, ambitious Hollywood star. Unexpectedly, the two sisters will have to balance the complicated relationship they have with their father and the American actress who finds herself at the center of their complex family relationships.
