IPM in Sava Center

Sava Center hosted an event of exceptional international importance - the First International Preparation Meeting (International Participants Meeting - IPM) for the Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade. During two days, more than 400 official delegates from more than 150 countries and international organizations passed through the premises of the renovated Sava Center, making Belgrade officially the epicenter of preparations for this global event.

The event was officially opened by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, emphasizing that Expo 2027 is the greatest development opportunity for Serbia and the entire region. Secretary General of the International Bureau for Exhibitions Dimitri Kerkentzes, director of the company Expo 2027 Dušan Borovčanin, as well as president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia Marko Čadež spoke with him in the Sava Center. Their messages were clear - Serbia is ready, determined and committed to offer the world a unique Expo by 2027, with the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All", which affirms universal values through play, art and inclusion.

As part of the IPM meeting, the delegations had the opportunity to learn in detail about the plans for the construction of the space in Surčin, which will host the exhibition. Also, part of the program were presentations of the planned infrastructure, including traffic corridors, accommodation capacities, energy solutions and digital platforms. Special interest was also caused by the announcement of investments that, following the Expo, will reach a value of around 18 billion euros, which will give Belgrade new roads, railways, museums, sports facilities and spaces for culture and science.

The atmosphere in the Sava Center was worthy of the world scene - impeccable organization, technical equipment, modern interior and support of the host team additionally strengthened the confidence of international partners that Belgrade will be a worthy host of a specialized exhibition. It was from the Sava Center that a message was sent that Serbia not only has a vision, but also concrete capacities to realize that vision on time and at a high level.

This event not only marked the official start of the global promotion of the Expo in Belgrade, but also highlighted the strategic role of the Sava Center as a key meeting place, dialogue and international cooperation. In the years to come, the Sava Center will continue to be a space in which to prepare what Belgrade and Serbia will present to the world.
