When artist and audience are in perfect balance, magic happens. In March and May 2025, that magic happened in Belgrade eight times. Marija Šerifović, one of the most beloved musical stars of the region, wrote the history of the domestic scene by holding a record eight sold-out concerts in the Sava Center, from March 8 to May 9. These performances were not only part of her "Love is Coming" tour, but also a celebration of her jubilee, twenty years of career, marked by a symbolic twentieth concert in this prestigious Belgrade venue. From evening to evening, the audience filled the hall to the last seat,
confirming that Maria's charisma, vocal power and authenticity are still as powerful as on day one. Each concert was an intimate musical confession, full of energy, but also vulnerability. Maria didn't just sing, she also talked, shared memories, joked with the audience, and in quiet moments she could even shed a tear. The audience recognized this and responded most sincerely, with songs, laughter, applause and standing on their feet. It was an exchange that is not often seen, even on much bigger world stages. The program was carefully selected, a combination of the latest songs from the album "Dolazi ljubav", but also timeless hits such as "Molitva", "Pametna i luda", "11" and "Part of the past". In each interpretation, one could feel complete dedication and emotion, as only Maria can convey. Maria's feat is not coincidentally related to the Sava Center. After a thorough reconstruction, this space shone again as the epicenter of cultural and musical events in Belgrade and the region. Technical equipment, acoustics, scenography and conditions for performers today are at the level of world concert halls, which Marija herself has repeatedly emphasized. This is exactly what made each concert seem like a separate theatrical performance, with sophisticated lighting, impeccable sound, carefully designed visual projections and an emotional narration that made the audience not only listen, but live each song.
Although there was a lot of talk about the record and rightly so, because no one before her had managed to sell out the Sava Center eight times in a row, what remained even more impressive was the emotional charge that was felt each of those eight days. At the fifth concert, Maria stopped the performance of the song at one point because her emotions overwhelmed her. The audience stood up and sang for her without the music. It was a moment that cannot be planned, it simply arises as a confirmation of the authentic connection between the artist and those who listen to him. The "Dolazi ljubav" tour and her concerts in Belgrade were not only a promotion of the new album, but a personal and artistic turning point. At these concerts, Marija Šerifović proved once again that she does not compromise, neither in emotion, nor in quality, nor in contact with the audience. At the end of the last concert, when the audience was already standing, Maria quietly said: "If I helped you get through your day with at least one verse - it was worth it." And perhaps that is the best conclusion of this eight-day musical epic in the Sava Center. It's not about a record. It's about honesty, about a voice that heals and about love that, despite everything, comes.
