Once again in Serbia! A new concert celebrating the film music of Ennio Morricone
and Nino Rota, icons of world cinema, awaits you. The audience can expect famous
melodies from the cult films such as “The Godfather”, “Once Upon a Time in
America”, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, “The Octopus”, “The Professional”, and
more. The program not only allows to hear the works of these unsurpassed masters
performed live but also offers a unique emotional journey through the music of Rota
and Morricone, where eternal themes intertwine with the inner worlds of the creators.
The project was conceived by Marcelo Rota, a world-renowned conductor who will
lead the concert in Belgrade. The film music will be performed by soloists who have
left their mark on the history of Italian and world cinema and who collaborated
closely with Morricone: Nello Salza (trumpet), Ludovico Fulci (piano), and Susanna
Rigacci (soprano). Under the impeccable leadership of Maestro Morricone, they
have performed in over 500 concerts worldwide, including a memorable performance
at Belgrade Arena in 2009.
This concert, imbued with a “cinematic soul”, is dedicated to the most significant
milestones in the careers of these two great composers, presenting legendary songs
from iconic films.
