The world-famous Igor Moiseyev Ballet, officially known as the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after Igor Moiseyev, makes a triumphant return to Belgrade after more than a decade.

On November 8 and 9, 2025, the legendary ensemble will captivate audiences at the Sava Center with its iconic program “Dances of the World”, showcasing vibrant choreographic masterpieces crafted by the visionary Igor Moiseyev. Among them is the Russian dance Summer with 50 performers dancing simultaneously on stage, the Serbian national dance, the Greek dance suite Sirtaki and other iconic compositions. Some numbers will be accompanied by live performances on Russian folk instruments, such as accordions and balalaikas.

Last performing in Belgrade in 2014 at the same venue, the ensemble now presents an updated program, featuring refreshed classics and dazzling new choreographic miniatures that celebrate global folk traditions with unparalleled artistry.

The National Academic Ensemble of Folk Dances named after Igor Moiseyev, known throughout the world as the ” Ballet Igor Moiseyev”, has existed since 1937. Its founder, the great choreographer of the 20th century Igor Moiseyev, combined the art of classical ballet with folklore and created a new genre in choreographic art that did not exist before. Moisejev’s innovation is unique, and his theatre is an incomparable experience.
