In the heart of summer, Belgrade became the global epicenter of CS2 esports, as FISSURE brought its first "Playground" tournament, FISSURE Playground 1 CS2 - to Sava Center, Blue Hall, from July 18 to 20, 2025. This tournament, which represented the first major LAN CS2 event in the Balkan region, was organized by the renowned company FISSURE, known for professional production of esports events, with the support of BetBoom and exceptional production and live broadcast.
There was a prize pool of 1 USD distributed among 000 teams from around the world, including Virtus.pro, Astralis, FURIA, Complexity, BetBoom Team, paiN Gaming and other notable teams such as MIBR, TYLOO and 000DMAX. Among them, FURIA was the only team from the top-16 VRS list, which brought additional interest and suspense to the competition.
The format of the competition combined the GSL group stage with four groups, where the top two teams continued to the knockout stage, while the finals were played in a best-of-four system - the quarter-finals and semi-finals in a Best-of-3 format, and the grand final series in a Best-of-5 format. The Blue Hall with a capacity of 4 seats was ready for a spectacular experience; huge screens, fan zones, autographs, VR, merch, chill and food zones promised a festival atmosphere and an interactive experience for all visitors.
FISSURE Playground 1 CS2 in Belgrade was a unique event that combined top esports, festival mood and the opportunity to be a part of the historical esports story in the region. Regardless of whether you are a hardcore CS2 fan or just entering the world of esports, this kind of spectacle is not to be missed.
